The "Turkey-Taiwan Semiconductor Electronics and Optoelectronics Forum", hosted by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, was held on 13 June 2019 at the TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus, within the scope of the "TÜBİTAK-Taiwan Joint Workshop" organized to develop scientific and technological cooperation between Turkey and Taiwan.
The forum brought together scientists from Turkey and Taiwan, who are experts in their fields, to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation and joint projects. Participants shared the latest research trends in semiconductor electronics and optoelectronics and discussed technological developments and solutions to problems.
In the forum moderated by Dr. Orkun Hasekioglu, Academicians who are experts in their fields gave presentations on the following subjects:
Dr. Shangjr Gwo from Sinica University, "Semiconductor Optoelectronics and Nano-Optics Research,"
Prof. Ekmel Özbay from Bilkent University, "Optoelectronics,"
Prof. Cengiz Beşikçi, Middle East Technical University, "Studies on New Generation Infrared Photon Sensor Technologies,"
Prof. Tayfun Akın from the Middle East Technical University, "MEMS." In addition, Oğuz Altun from ASELSAN provided information to the participants on related issues.
This important event strengthened the cooperation between Turkey and Taiwan in the field of semiconductor electronics and optoelectronics, contributing to the support of scientific and technological advances.
